I think I may have accidentally turned Jonah into a potty mouth. One of my co-teachers at schools is from Puerto Rico ( I know you are thinking "where is this going?" just hang with me!) so she teaches them, and myself, Spanish everyday. He knows "up" arriba, and abajo "down". So my friend came over tonight to do some gourmet cooking ( and we are the rockinest cooks ever thank you!) While we were waiting for the carmalized onion and brie stuffed chicken to bake ( BAM!) we decided to read Jonah a book since it was almost bed time. In the book a little boy climbs up (arriba) a hill, and then he slides down (abajo) the hill. So I am being a smarty pants and showing off my child's incredible linguistic talent by having him tell our guest what "up & down" are in Spanish. Much to my suprise, "abajo" sounded exactly like another naughty word that starts with an a. This is a family friendly blog, so I will spare you the explanation any further. Besides, if you can't figure that one out....well, go back under your rock!
Anywho, we burst into muffled giggles and Jonah just smiled and said it again, and again. Crap, where did my kid learn this stuff? ha ha. I tried to correct him, and the more he tried to say it, the worse it sounded. So I think we'll have him stick to English for now.

That is hilarious! I'm sure his teachers are going to love him when he starts school! Ha!
YA YA!
LOL..too funny. At least it's not in English. This way the kids won't have a clue what he is saying.
