As you can tell, not much time for blogging lately. Thanks to all of you who still check on me to see if I am alive. I am just reeling at the fact that November is already here and trying not to get sucked into the "Xmas Craze". I put it that way because as we all know, the advertising and retail world have made Christmas a season of "cha-ching! cha-ching!" and how long am I willing to stand in line for a new Tickle me Elmo? Yikes.
We're a little low on the dough right now. We're on a tight-tight budget due to some circumstances, but it's a blessing in some ways because we are actually sticking to our budget for a change since we absolutely have to, and because we are trying to be obediant in keeping commitments. So, this means that we won't be doing much gift exchanging this year, at least not store-bought gifts. But really, what the heck do I need? Not much, to tell you the truth. Jonah has enough toys...WAY too much actually. He would have no clue nor a care in the world if he got nothing for Christmas except a fun time with Mom and Dad. We all are adequately clothed, have food and shelter. God is so good! I am hoping that our financial crisis will allow us to really focus on Jesus this year. I always loathe the inevetable buyer's remorse and the holiday hangover after all the unnecessary gifts have been doled out and we all look at it and think, "Gee who can I re-gift this to?"
So with all that being said, I am off to balance the check-book and make a grocery list while counting each and every blessing. God is amazing and good, He is so good. I hate that it takes a little crisis to help me really see that, but then again, I am thankful for this season in our lives. God Bless you all!

Just wanted to let you know that Brian & I are praying for you. It may be hard right now but the payoff of knowing that you both are doing what God wants will be so worth it!
