We have a new addition to the Z clan, a cute little goldfish named Fletch. It all started early Saturday morning when I found Fletch's home at a yard sale for $5.00 accompanied by all the chemicals and do-dads that one needs to support a small aquatic life. So Sunday we went to the local fish place The Aquatic Critter. This place is amazing! Some friends of ours who have several freshwater tanks suggested that we go there, since they actually know about fish and even have a guarantee on them. The saltwater fish were the coolest of course; we saw Nemo and his anenome!
Since we are somewhat novice fish owners, we went for the standard goldfish. Jonah thinks he's the coolest and makes sure to tell him "bye" when we leave. Good thing for Fletch, he has a 2 second memory. I do mean the fish, btw, not Jonah! ;)
In other news, I have officially applied to Metro Public Schools for a position as a high school English teacher. I'm hoping to get hired on with a permit and then be allowed to get my certification while I teach. Pray for me!

Fletch is adorable! We attempted the whole fish thing a few months before Evan was born...we bought to gorgeous goldfish and named them Brad & Jen (because deepdown in my heart, they would be the 'It' couple forever). Aubrey loved them! But we didn't have the chance to really get to know them...Brad passed away a few hours after bringing him home, and Jen followed the next morning. We had to flush him and for the longest time, anytime someone flushed the toilet Aubrey would yell: "Bye bye, fishy! Go back home!" I hope you have better luck than we did! :)
The good thing about the name Fletch is that you can also call him ...Ted Nugent...Gordon Liddy...Swoon...Broken Taco...or Underhill.
