If you're gonna spew, spew in this . . .

I would love to greet you all with a "Good day!" but it ain't gonna happen. The bad day actually began last night. I have been bragging that Jonah is "15 months and has never thrown up!" I realize that I am huge LAME-O person for bragging about such a thing. In fact, it makes me cringe.

Anywho, Jonah had eaten dinner last night and was doing his usual run-around-the room-squeal-jump-dance thing when he stopped short of the dining room table opened his mouth and blew chunks. Sorry to be so graphic, but this came as a shock since he gave NO warning! Then he cried and looked pitiful while Jason promptly began to freak out about Jonah . . . no that's not right . . . the carpet, yes! Jason was having a heart attack about carpet while I began disrobing the vomit covered child. Nice. So we got Jonah cleaned up and re-dressed, then I got to scrub puke out of the carpet. And so the bad day began early . . .

This morning he ate breakfast and then barfed before he left the high chair. AS he started to cry and look pitiful again, Jason wondered aloud if Jonah might be throwing up on purpose because he doesn't want to eat. WHAT?! I wondered for a split second if he was joking, then realized he wasn't and got angry. I was tired and fed up, and really grossed out - I hate vomit more than anything! So I yelled and Jason left, and I plopped Jonah in the tub. Better go cause it looks like Jonah is back to his old self, eating and destroying anything in his path!

This too shall pass!

Okay, I may be the biggest dork on the planet, but when I read the heading of this blog I immediately saw Garth holding a Dixie cup out to his drunk friend. I hope Jonah is keeping his food down now!
