Brrrrrrr!

Yes! It's finally cold! While I do not like to actually be cold, I love all things associated with cold weather like hot coffee (no more cocoa for me thanks to the ole' South Beach diet!) soups and stews, warm fires, toe socks, scarves, Thanksgiving, Christmas . . . I just love it! I think it is the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year"!!!

So Jason is enjoying his new job, downtown! Yes, we do think it is SO cool that he works downtown. The thing I don't like? Having to pay to park when we go visit him for lunch, downtown. $4 is pretty steep! I guess all his John Grisham reading and lawyer-show watching has paid off now that he works around high-profile lawyers all day. He comes home and spouts off things like "opposing counsel" and "deposition". Fancy! If you don't know what Jason does - he is in "data imaging" which means copies, faxing, setting up meeting rooms, presentations, mail. It's cool. At my work I use terms like "poopy". "sippy cup", "snot"....hmmm, not quite as fancy. Oh well.

So we just realized that we have done NO Christmas shopping. I can hear the gasps! And some of you smug people have had yours done since July right?! We've never really been that into the whole shopping thing when it comes to Christmas. We'd rather sleep and eat Turkey the day after Thanksgiving, thank you! We've told all the family (subtle reminder) that we'd really like Jonah to have books rather than toys. He has plenty of toys already that we have no room for, but we can make space for books pretty easily. As for gifts from us, we are considering one toy gift and a book. He loves the vaccum cleaner, so we're thinking about getting him a mini kids' vaccum. He would love it!

As for Jonah - his new thing is hugging other toddlers and then taking them down with him. He also has become very attatched the rolls of masking tape and sharpies at work. He will do anything to get to hold the tape! He gets very unhappy when anyone takes a toy away from him, but he's happy to give it up if you ask nicely - then again, I guess we're all like that aren't we?!
